Quick Review – Dragon Hunters

The film had incredible background animation, especially at the budget of under 20 million (if I am doing the math right). But the plot is predictable and generic. Worse, the charcters range from stock to annoying, especially that shorter dragon hunter. Some of the dialogue was incredibly bad. C+: The absolute average for me. (Also the grade I now feel Mars Needs Moms deserves).

Also watched bits and pieces of Stuart Little 3, but you don’t need me to tell you it is bad.

Fired from My Cafe Job

No more burgers and pop tarts for me.

Couldn’t keep up with the dishes. Sure, its supposed to be a two person job, but I guess it doesn’t matter.

Whatever.

How I am Trolling the Amazing Atheist

Hey guys. Lets play a game. Everyday, we will ask the Amazing Atheist if he was raped as a child. Then we’ll ask him why did he say yes and some times but no at others. Everyday the Amazing Atheist dodges this question, everyone gains 100 points. The person who gets him to tell this truth on this serious issue earns 1000 points and a golden internet star.

So…Amazing Atheist, were you molested as a child? And why have you given contradictory answers?

Watched Over the Hedge

Generic shit.

Why I Don’t Like to Interact with My Family

Grandma: I got an E-mail about the Holocaust…

Me: What was your source?

Grandma: are you denying tthe Holocaust happened?

Me: …What?! No! I’m not saying E-mails arn’t really reliable.

Grandma: Anyway’s, it was said that when MacArthur went to Germany and saw the Holocaust victims, he told them to take pictures, because people will deny that this event happened. And you know who denies this event? The Muslims.

Me: …That’s really generalizing.

Grandma: Are you a liberal? Don’t tell me you raise a liberal!

Ron Paul – The Debate

Also known as “Typical Ron Paul Supporter”. Debate may go longer. I am in bold.

~

Ron Paul is to freedom is what the KKK is to tolerance

Care to elaborate on that?

Ron Paul believes that people should not be allowed to sue their employers due to sexual harassment. Ron Paul is fine with state sodomy laws. In fact, he’s pretty much willing to repeal all civil rights legislation and “let the states decide”. Except for flag burning, which he wants to ban outright.

I think you need to turn off your telescreen, and go graze outside for a while.

So you are saying that he does not support any of this?

You do realize you are a nanometer away from being completely and utterly owned?

The goat calls the other people sheep.

Haha oh no! Please provide your proof, smart guy.

THE GOOGLE! USE IT!

On Sexual Harrassment:

“Employee rights are said to be valid when employers pressure employees into sexual activity” “Why don’t they quit once the so-called harassment starts? Obviously the morals of the harasser cannot be defended, but how can the harassee escape some responsibility for the problem? Seeking protection under civil rights legislation is hardly acceptable.”

Yeah, most of this so called civil rights legislation is in direct contradiction to private property rights. Since your so good with google, you should use it to look up the word consent.

You are changing the subject. You said I was a “media sheep”. I provided my sources. Somehow I know more about your canidate than you do. If I am a sheep, then why is that?

How does that mean that you know more about Ron Paul than me? I agree with Ron Paul on all of those issues. You just like to distort them and make him sound bad. Liberty and freedom can always be made to sound bad by people like you. The world is a dangerous place and if you can’t handle it, that’s your problem, not mine.

So you believe that, if the only place you can possible employed, in this rough economy, sexually harrasses you, you must quit because someone else is violating your privacy? You believe that you are not allowed to burn the flag, despite the 1st ammendment? You believe that states can ban what sexual acts you do in private that harm no one?

Also, keep in mind that you were intially shocked by my allegations.

*and denied them.

If Ron Paul supported banning flag burning, then why was he opposed to Congress banning it? Also, why would you keep working somewhere if they were harassing you? Why on EARTH would you keep going back? The fact that you can’t find any other job is not anyone’s problem but yours. Life is rough, but that doesn’t give you any right to tell anyone what to do with their own private property.

“Consider the Lawrence case decided by the Supreme Court in June. The Court determined that Texas had no right to establish its own standards for private sexual conduct, because gay sodomy is somehow protected under the 14th amendment “right to privacy”. Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be, there clearly is no right to privacy nor sodomy found anywhere in the Constitution.

There are, however, states’ rights – rights plainly affirmed in the Ninth and Tenth amendments. Under those amendments, the State of Texas has the right to decide for itself how to regulate social matters like sex, using its own local standards””

The CRA of 1964 gave the federal government unprecedented power over the hiring, employee relations, and customer service practices of every business in the country. The result was a violation of the rights of private property and contract. The federal government has no legitimate authority to infringe on the rights of private property owners to use their property as they please and to form/not form contracts with terms agreeable to all parties. (parts reomved folength

“The federal government has no legitimate authority to infringe on the rights of private property owners to use their property as they please and to form/not form contracts with terms agreeable to all parties.” Exactly.

I say “Fuck that” for that part of the law, Ron Paul does the same for 1st ammendement rights, when it comes to burning the flag.

And it is easy for you to say that is right when you didn’t live in the 1950s south.

Actually, I misread his issue on Flag Burning: He introduced a bill to ban it, but voted against it. Kind of unorthodox, easy to misunderstand what he was going for. However, he does think that whenever or not the flags can be burned (and what you do in your bedroom) should be decided. What happened to the 1st ammendment?

Also, if every job employer decided to harass female employers, so they can’t get a job otherwise, you would do so under “liberty”?

Big jumble, due to how the system works, but it really shows the ideology of a Ron Paul supporter.

Not posting link, go see it yourself. Too depressed.

I Now Support SOPA

This post was entirely inspired by the Wikipedia blackout. Not only is it annoying, but it harms the British and the Australians (Probably).

~

I’m not saying the bill is perfect. I think it should give more time for websites to be notified about copyrighted material so they can take it down. I also think it should have stricter standards so it doesn’t go the way of the DMCA, used when the person using it is obviously doing so under fair use.

However, piracy DOES need to be stopped. According to our copyright laws, movies and songs can by copyrighted, yet these mediums are often “stolen” by people on the internet. Hell, half the comments I’ve heard about SOPA were “Shit, I can’t torrent anything anymore!” and “This is cenorship!”. At least the first bit makes sense: the intended purpose of this bill is to prevent piracy, not censor ideas.

You want to pirate music? Buy it instead. Can’t afford it? Then make do without or use sites that use ad revenue, such as youtube’s VEVO accounts.

I often critize capitalism because it does not provide for the guarnteed welfare of its citizens. But, although I do love well-made music and movies, these arn’t required for a healthy life and there still needs to be a profit motif for companies.

But what do I know. I am probably an ultra comu-nazi for not thinking that this bill will magically KILL THE INTERNET!

Whatever.

Pics Coming Soon

Went to Starved Rock today, too. Got some great pics of ice formations. One was hard to get to, but we got it.

Playing co-op Portal 2 because we finally got a new controller. We bought a one with weird controls, but it was 30 dollars cheaper than the wireless ones. Way too expensive. Also got two movies so I can finally say I have watched all the Miyazaki films.
